The Phnom Penh Post

Police and military officials were searching for six missing Cambodians yesterday who villagers believe were shot dead by Thai soldiers on Saturday night after entering the Khun Han district of Thailand’s Si Saket province in search of luxury timber.

Neth Hing, who lives in Oddar Meanchey’s Trapaing Prasath district, told the Post that 13 people showed up at her doorstep yesterday morning, telling her they were survivors of a group of 19 Cambodians who had entered Thailand via the Thmor Pres border crossing.

“They came to [my home] this morning about 11:00. They fled because of shooting; they said that six people died,” Neth Hing said. “They said this [while] they were sitting [at my house].”

It's good to kill illegal loggers including their boss, whatever nationality.

Concerning the Khmer illegal loggers shoot them as you want. They are good at nothing except destroying the Country.

I hate the illegal loggers!

you can hate them but their crime is not life. arrest them and put them in jail. what would you say if you sons or daughter did that? You probably said your children doesnt do that and you might be right but you never know what people do.

9:20 PM and 7:22 AM, you are the most heartless people I've seen. These loggers don't just go there by themselves, they were recruited by military commanders who do illegal timber trade to cut the trees for them. Just ask yourselves, if you are hungry and you have been recruited and assured by military commanders that it is safe, will you go there to make a living? The ones who need to be shot are those corrupt military commanders who make a good living out of destroying Cambodia's forests and the lives of poor and innocent Khmers.
