Updating for the Boeung Kak Women Protesting today in Front of France Embassy (28 Nov 2011)

Today, many Boeung Kak Lake women are protesting and blocking the road in front of the city hall.

This morning, police arrested three women activists such as Vanny, Chhor Vy, Chantha. Vanny and Chhorvy was detained at Phnom Penh Police Station. Other three women were beaten unconscious, and another woman had tried to commit suicide by taking poison medicine.

Afterward, the government police arrested one more BKL women, Ms. Kong Chantha, at around 15.55 of this noon. Then the police and military police tried to separate the protesters.

Now the residents of the BKL are going to block the road in front of the France Embassy.
