Singaporean stars Elvin Ng, Tay Ping Hui and actress Jeanette Aw received a warm welcome from their fans at a publicity event for their drama World At Your Feet in Cambodia on Thursday (Aug 14).

PHNOM PENH: Actors Elvin Ng, Tay Ping Hui and actress Jeanette Aw received a warm welcome from their fans at a publicity event for their drama World At Your Feet in Cambodia on Thursday (Aug 14).

Their Cambodian fans gave them flowers and enthusiastically took photos with them during the event.

"This is my second visit to Cambodia. It feels great to be here again. The fans are really warm and friendly. I'm just too happy!" said Tay.

"Cambodia is like my second home. All the Khmer phrases I have learned in the past quickly came back to me. The fans are really enthusiastic. It feels familiar and warm. I am very happy to be back," said Ng.

The trio, who also met their fans at a meet and greet event at Cambodia's Aeon Mall on Friday (Aug 15), will go on to make a series of television appearances as well as visit an orphanage before wrapping up their promotional visit to Cambodia on Sunday (Aug 17).

The football-themed drama World At Your Feet is the latest in a string of Singaporean dramas which have been successfully exported to Cambodia in recent years.

As these Singaporean dramas gradually gain a following in Cambodia, the Singaporean artistes who appear in them have also become more popular there.

Ng in particular has met with quite a bit of success in Cambodia. The actor got the CHANCE to star in the Cambodian drama The Jade Elephant, and had recently graced the cover of a Cambodian magazine.
