Thailand promised to help Cambodian workers


PHNOM PENH (The Cambodia Herald) -- Cambodian Defense Minister Tea Banh met Monday with Tanasak Patimapragom, deputy director of Thai National Council for Peace and Order, at Ministry of National Defense, to discuss relation between the two countries.

Tanasak Patimapragom said that he thanked Prime Minister Hun Sen for sending the Cambodian officials to visit Thailand to see what had happened there.

He said what the Thai government did was to protect royalist regime and economic system and prevent the country from war.

Tea Banh told reporters after the meeting that the Thai officials visited Cambodia in order to confirm further over what had happened recently in Thailand, and seek understanding from Cambodia.

He said he asked the Thai side to help protect Cambodian workers, and Thailand vowed to help Cambodian workers, and help them receive treatment, and workers' children get education.
