HANOI, Dec. 18 (Xinhua) -- Vietnamese President Truong Tan Sang will lead a high-ranking delegation for a state visit to Cambodia from Dec. 23 to 24 at the invitation of Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni, said a Vietnamese official here on Thursday.
According to Pham Thu Hang, vice spokesperson of Vietnam's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the visit was aimed at strengthening friendship and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Cambodia.
"During the visit, the two sides will discuss practical measures to boost bilateral cooperation in areas including politics, security, economy and trade," said Hang, adding "they will discuss regional and international issues of mutual interests. "
Vietnamese President Truong Tan Sang is scheduled to hold talks with Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni, chairman of the Cambodian People's Party and also President of the Senate of Cambodia Chea Sim, President of Cambodian National Assembly Heng Samrin, and Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen.
The Vietnamese leader will also meet with several Vietnamese enterprises investing in Cambodia and visit some Vietnam-invested projects in Cambodia, said the official.
Vietnam and Cambodia established diplomatic relations in 1967.

This month, Vietnam reached some major agreement with FTA, Free Trade Agreement with Korea, Common Union (Russia, Belarus, Kazadhztan spl?) to be concluded by early 2015. This translates to what impact to Cambodia.
Cambodia has a choice to play along with China with economic subsidy (in Which China will go out of their way to buy stuffs from Cambodia) or play along with Vietnam with real economic supply chain.
Cambodia in the past had already tasted how Thailand used economic attack against them. When Thailand suddenly stopped importing Cambodian produce, so much Cambodian produces were rotten and wasted. Mr. Hun Sen asked Vietnam to help and Vietnam immediately agreed to buy anything Cambodia can shift to the East side.
But produces still got wasted on the way to Vietnam's border.
Now, if Cambodian produces are part of the supply chain then Vietnam cannot do an attack on Cambodia because such act will disrupt their own supply as well.
A smart leader must know which deal is good, and which deal is bad to get in. Vietnam is still relative weak as compared to other surrounding nation, they will create deal win-win with Cambodia. So, get in and both nations can prosper.
Use the batons and harsh measures on the Khmer trouble makers. When I was in my early teen, I inflicted brain concussions against the dark-skinned kids and it works. Those kids never fought again after they got their brain shocked and awed for good.
Do the same to the Khmer trouble makers with Muay Thai knees and kicks to their heads. They will stop. To produce a lot of nice and peaceful Khmer, just use shock and awe to their brains.
