Foreign Minister to join Thai-Cambodian JC meeting tomorrow

BANGKOK, 14 January 2015 (NNT) - Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Gen Tanasak Patimapragorn and his Cambodian counterpart Hor Namhong are to meet in Siem Reap on Thursday for the annual meeting of the Thai-Cambodian Joint Commission for Bilateral Cooperation (JC).

According to Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs Sihasak Phuangketkeow, the meeting will take place on 15-16 January 2015 with both ministers co-chairing the meeting.

The meeting will cover a wide range of cooperation projects, most of which are continuations of projects already discussed by Thai and Cambodian leaders during Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha’s visit to that country. Among the issues are trade, the development of transport routes, border zone development as well as the technical and economic cooperation that Thailand has extended to Cambodia.

During the meeting, both ministers will also follow up on the progress of establishing a permanent crossing point in Ban Nong Ian, Tha Kham Subdistrict, Aranyaprathet District, Sa Kaeo, Thailand and another one in Stoeng Bat, Poipet Subdistrict, Banteay Meachey Province, Cambodia.

This will be another useless JBC meeting wasting Cambodia limited, beggers small budgets. Siam will always be Siam stalling time after time. They will never leave Preah Vihear temple areas unless someone strong enough force them to. Cambodia had a lots of corrupted leadership and they knew it. Our country don't have the stomach to fight another war that is why Siam are playing Khmer for a fools. I am not voicing for a war with a bigger richer Thailand but at some point you must set your foot on the ground and said enough is enough. UN ICJ court was already on our side but Cambodian government kept letting these Siam chances after chances. Phatetic. Our troops are capable of dislodging these Siam from Preah Vihear arteas and Ta Moan, Ta Krabey all they needed was real support and supplies to sustain the fights. I truely believed our Khmer troops are more brave, experiences, heroic than them but they lacked leaderships. I am sick and tired hearing Siam play us for a fools and killed our peoples every day. They just burned two Khmer men alive with car tires and what Cambodia govt. and border troops gong to do. Imagine Khmer troops burn two Siam alive, the Siam armor divisions will be on their way to Phno Penh. Laughable
