Two officials of Sam Rainsy Party, Human Rights Party ousted for illegally selling public land

PHNOM PENH (The Cambodia Herald) -- The Sam Rainsy Party (SRP) and Human Right Party (HRP), which founded the Cambodia National Rescue Party CNRP in 2013, expelled two commune Councillors from Lvea Em district, Kandal province on January 3, 2015 for allegedly being involved in corruption. 

In a joint statement Monday, the SRP and HRP said that they conducted investigation, following complaints filed by citizens, and found out that Nuon Thos and So Maran colluded with the Barong commune chief from the CPP to illegally sell 204 hectares of land belonging to the public.
