Culture of dialogue doesn't mean CNRP's surrender: Kem Sokha

PHNOM PENH (The Cambodia Herald) -- The deputy president of the opposition party said that the initiative of culture of dialogue doesn't mean that Cambodia National Rescue Party surrenders to the ruling Cambodian People's Party.

"Culture of dialogue doesn't mean surrender, but it's collection of people's concerns to put on the table and find solution to them," Kem Sokha, Vice President of CNRP, said Friday during a meeting with local leadership in Kampong Thom's Baray district.
The CPP and CNRP have launched the culture of dialogue late last year to serve the interest of the nation after the opposition party agreed to take their seats in parliament.
Last month Prime Minister Hun Sen threatened to end the culture of dialogue with CNRP after Sam Rainsy and Kem Sokha attacked him at their public meetings with supporters in provinces.
During an extraordinary congress early this month, CPP reiterated its stance to continue the culture of dialogue for the sake of the people and the nation.
The commitment has been welcomed by opposition party.

The word surrender is the worst, but the inactive and succumb to quiet and hiding face are almost equal to passive surrender.
