Um Sam An, MP for Siem Reap

An opposition lawmaker in Siem Reap province is planning to file a complaint to the Constitutional Council to review National Assembly President Heng Samrin’s decision not to forward his request to terminate Sokimex’s Angkor Wat ticket collection licence.
The decision was contrary to Article 96 of the constitution, which requires all lawmaker requests to be sent to the government within a week, Um Sam An, a Cambodia National Rescue Party lawmaker, said.
Sam An filed the request, addressed to Prime Minister Hun Sen, on March 3.
The lawmaker alleges that the company has not been transparent with the number of foreign visitors to the temples and the amount of revenue collected.
Samrin returned the letter to Sam An on Monday with a note suggesting the request be sent to the parliament’s finance committee, which is also investigating the use of funds collected.
Suos Yara, a Cambodian People’s Party spokesman, said the CNRP’s request was “illogical”.

“We have auditing institutions, and we also have declared the revenue, so nothing is mysterious,” he added.

Begin of Drgunzet's comment.

This is how I see things.

_ Angkor Wat area was a dump, dirty, desolate area.

_ Some smart Cambodians bought the right to the area.

_ They build roads, cleaned up, build hotels, shops.

_ They paid advertisements, marketing to bring more tourists in to increase revenue.

_ More tourists also spent more in Cambodia, good for everyone.

------------------
Now, the typical lazy, stupid and greedy local Khmers are at it again and again.

_ First, they try the typical trick: He is Yuon this, Yuon that. Then try to take over the good business.

_ When that fails, they accuse the person of fraud, under reporting the ticket sales. Then again, try to take over the business.

_ The next step they would try is to assassinate the person. Mr. Hun Sen could only protect the good business to some extend, but he will fail from times to time. Cambodia is a violent, lawless country with sick and desperate people.

I feel sorry for Mr. Hun Sen, trying to govern a horrible country.

Get riel. Cambodia is a sick country with evil and desperate people. You carry hold a wad of cash and walk in Phnom Penh, you will be quickly beaten down. You wear a gold watch or jewelries in Cambodia walking alone, you will be quickly robbed and murdered. You created a successful business in Cambodia, the local Cambodians will find ways to take over it.

Ronnie Yimsut came to Cambodia to make a business in Landscaping and Architect design and schooling. Within a couple years, the local Cambodians charged him with all kind of false accusation. He got into so much trouble such that after he was clear of all wrong doing, he immediately left Cambodia for good.

I don't think he will come back to Cambodia.

One White person made a Youtube clip describing how he almost got killed by a bunch of "serious killer-glare" looking kids just because he made a wrong joke. The kids was playing soccer and the ball went astray to his spot. He picked up the ball and made a gesture to pretend to keep the ball.

Within 10 seconds, the Pol-Po Khmer kids were ready to form up to kill him. He was like, "Oh my God. I was only kidding and almost got killed."

If you stand next to a Khmer, you run a great risk of being killed by that Khmer if the Khmer went nuts and decide to kill you. The risk of you being murdered in Cambodia is hundred times over as compared to in Japan, a peaceful society.

Just read Khmer forum. It is normal for them to chant, "chop up, kill, kill, kill illegal immigrants."
